Q McCray is an American Journalist that currently work as a general assignment reporter at WFTV channel 9 Eyewitness News, Central Florida's ABC Affiliate. He graduated from the University of South California. He has once worked at WALA in Mobile, Alabama, before getting hold of his second job at WSVN in Miami, also worked at KABC-TV in Los Angeles, California, WOIO in Cleveland and his most recent work was at WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C. Early Life & Education
Q McCray is a Montreal, Canada native even though he was given birth at Washington, D.C.., in the United States, he graduated from The University of Southern California in California with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast journalism in 2004 as a major then with a minor in International Relations as the side dish. He’s very good in French language, he speaks French fluently.[5]
Career
While he was in school, he worked for KABC-TV in Los Angeles, California, off camera, participating in significant creations, for example, the Emmy's and the Oscars. He additionally interned at CNN's L.A. Authority. Anderson 360 and Larry King Live are only a few the shows he helped in creating.
January 2005, he acknowledged his first since forever work as a columnist and grapple with WALA FOX 10 News.
The station secured Mobile, Alabama and parts of Florida's Panhandle.
That is actually where he experienced his first ever Hurricane and was granted an Edward R. Murrow Award for his inclusion of Hurricane Katrina, notwithstanding different distinctions.
Q McCray is grateful and always happy for all the amazing opportunities and experiences he has had in his 13+ year career as a journalist. He witnessed when Hurricane Katrina churned towards the Gulf Coast because he was on the beach when it happened. He also witnessed the Orange County Courthouse case when Casey Anthony was found not guilty. He was also present when NASA’s last space shuttle, Atlantis, launched from Jetty Park. He has also been a part of protesters seeking justice after Trayvon Martin’s death. Firestorms, Earthquakes, riots, presidential elections, marches on Capitol Hill, and the list goes on. [3][4]
Personal Life
He is happily married to Devina McCary.
He and his spouse have welcomed two children first born is a boy while the second is a girl (Vivienne McCray).
However, Q isn’t like other reporters who discusses about his family life or put up his family life on the social media, he loves to keep his personal life far away from the media.
