Pontrey O'Neal Jones is a 20 year-old hailing from Austin, Texas.

He has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and for the last two years, he stopped taking his medicine.

Stabbing

On December 18th, 2016, after the NFL game between Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in which Dallas won 26-20, Pontrey allegedly stabbed his step-mother multiple times.

His step-mother, Magdalena Ruiz, rejoiced after the Cowboys won and rubbed it all over Pontrey's face.

He had developed a plan of attack for some time as a way to retaliate from the loss.

Instead of attacking his sister by breaking her neck, he decided to change the plan and changed his mind.

Instead, he hid a black-handled knife underneath the couch.

According to the statements, before the attack, Pontrey went for a walk outside to get a breather.

At around 10:40 p.m., when Pontrey returned to the home, he grabbed the knife, and stabbed Ruiz multiple times.

His father intervened and Pontrey exited the apartment and ran away.

The authorities were contacted and searched for him.

He was later found naked laying on a patch of grass.

Meanwhile, Ruiz was announced dead at the hospital.

When he was taken into custody, according to police statements, when he was told that his step-mother died from the stabbings he appeared to be relieved as he believed that a single stab would not render death.

Jones has been charged for murder and has a $500,000 bail.
