Polina is the daughter of Irina and Gennedy Glen who both live in Saint Petersburg.

Irina Glen was born in Soviet Kazakhstan and studied electrical power installations at St Petersburg State Polytech University.

She owns a business selling willow herbal tea in Karelia and regularly travels to Italy.

In 2015 she qualified as a travel guide and translator.

As a child Polina played the violin and often argued with her mother who didn't want to pay for dance classes.

Polina became "Miss Nebar 2012" when she won a beauty contest ran by a local bar, Nebar, in St Petersburg.

DJ Alexey Romeo ran the contest and the winner won dinner with him, a Mediterranean cruise and a gift card worth 100,000 rubles or $1,570.

In 2013, Polina took part in GO GO Girls, a local reality show organized by promo-studio SubFighters SHOW, headed by Alexander Esaulov.

She came in second place behind dancer Tamara Patlay.

When she was in her early twenties, Polina traveled around Europe, visiting Nice, Rome, Monaco and then took a trip to the U.S. ^[2]

Polina met Johnny Depp at a party in Los Angeles, California and reportedly did not know who he was at first.

It is believed that she moved to the United States in 2017 to further her career as a dancer.

Sources close to Depp have revealed that he likes her for this reason, that she doesn't act like a typical member of the LA crowd.

They spend a lot of time traveling and relaxing in Johnny's luxury Hollywood home.

They often watch old films and Polina listens while Johnny plays the piano.

Rumor has it that the two are planning to get married.

Polina founded her own dance school L.I.P.S in St Petersburg around 2015 and also held a special class at Stadia Dance School.

However, she closed L.I.P.S in April of 2016.

On April 13, 2019, Polina gave a dancing master class at St. Petersburg dance studio BAZA.

Around this time Polina also took part in dance project, Playground LA, and was trained by choreographer Tevyn Cole.
