History
Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. is a holding company comprised of Point Blank Body Armor (PBBA), PACA, PARACLETE®, and Protective Products.
The company, originally the Point Blank Division of Strong Uniforms, began manufacturing body armor in 1973 with the advent of Kevlar.
It was renamed in 1976 to become Point Blank Body Armor, Inc. [6]
In 1999, (PBBA) was awarded the contract for the Interceptor® Outer Tactical Vest (OTV) body armor system.
In 2007, they won the contract for the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV).
Protective Apparel Corporation of America, Inc. (PACA) was founded in 1975 and is currently led by CEO Daniel Gaston.
Initially focusing on military customers, the company expanded to civilian and law enforcement markets in 1993.
PARACLETE® was founded in 1994, and has since reincorporated in North Carolina as of 2003.
Originally in Raeford, North Carolina, it has since moved to a larger 144,000 ft 2 facility in St.
Pauls, North Carolina.
The company now has an additional two 100,000 ft 2 facilities in South Florida.
