The Plum List is an unofficial database run by Peter Thiel that is essentially an algorithm that facilities fast-track background checks.

It was created to vet people to work for Donald Trump new administration.

The Plum List is primarily utilized to sort through candidates for science and technology roles but has since been deployed for a variety of positions in Trump's administration such as the FDA, FCC, and ambassadorial ones.

The algorithm particularly looks for people who are not in the normal circles of power and work outside The Beltway in order to "drain the swamp."
