Pinaki Bhattacharya

Pinaki Bhattacharya (born June 13, 1968) is a Bangladeshi Blogger and online activist who is a trained physician. He is not currently involved in the medical Profession but he is running a pharma business. In Bangladesh, he is well known and respected as a writer, blogger and social activist.[1]

Early Life

Pinaki Bhattacharya was born in June 13, 1968 in Bogra, Bangladesh[1].

He was raised there.

He completed his schooling in Dhaka and he graduated from University of Dhaka.

Career

Pinaki Bhattacharya is an Adjunct faculty at the Asian University of Bangladesh [AIUB]. There he taught Environmental Toxicology. He is widely appreciated among young students and others in Bangladesh’s history, society, ongoing politics, Rohingya persecution in Myanmar and human rights in neighboring countries including Bangladesh.

Anti-drug War Campaign

Anti-narcotics operations were launched in Bangladesh in the 2018.

The suspects were extrajudicially killed in these operations.

Pinaki sharply criticized extrajudicial killings.

Pinaki was equally vocal on Facebook and Twitter recently demanding quota reform movement called for University students and safe road movement of school students. In his Facebook and Twitter posts, he made clear the attacks of the pro-government groups on the agitators.

Politics

In early life, Pinaki was involved in Politics. He has authored five books on the history of Bangladesh politics and other topics. He is currently a popular online Activist.
