Pietrina Hoffman is a 52-year-old grandma from Mahanoy City, PA in Schuylkill County.

On January 10th, 2016, Hoffman's grandaughter- one-year-old Navaeh Doyle- was found dead on January 10.

In addition, her two-year-old granddaughter was also found showing signs of starvation.

According to Hoffman, she does not remember the incident at all; she allegedly took sleeping pills and blacked out, waking up later to find Navaeh dead.

On February 12th, 2016, Hoffman was arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

Hoffman is currently being held in Schuylkill County jail without bail.

She faces a capital murder charge and the possibility of the death penalty.
