Death

On April 11, 2016 in Homan Square, police pulled over a car that was connected to an earlier shooting.

Police say Pierre Loury jumped out and an officer chased him.

Police say Loury then pointed a weapon at the officer and that is when he was shot.

According to police, Loury was a documented gang member.

Justice

As of April 2016, the police officers involved in the death of Loury have not been charged.

On April 12, 2016 protestors confronted police in front of the station where the officers involved in the chase and shooting work.
