Phoebe Collings-James
Biography
Collings-James was born and raised in the city of London to Jamaican parents.
At the age of thirteen, she began to model until about the age of eighteen.
She stopped modeling due to the racist background of the fashion industry as she would often go to casting calls where it would be black only models.
This aspect of the modeling world, made her feel degraded about her talents.
She would go on to art school.
Education

During her time at college, she worked the sales floor at Dover Street Market in the Comme des Garçons range.
She also worked as a photo assistant, and also as a bartender.
She would also have a job as a photographer's agent who represented Helmut Newton and Corinne Day.

Collings-James has done fashion and modeling for the following brands: British and US Vogue, LOVE, Tatler, i-D, Dazed & Confused, GQ Style, L'Officiel, Twin Magazine, Hero and Wonderland, she also walked for the SS14 Sister by Sibling show at London Fashion Week.
She has been asked to write and contribute to magazines including LOVE and is the Contributing Style & Arts editor to Near East Magazine.
