Previously, he wrote for The Atlantic and Grist, was a Senior Designer at Adobe, ran political campaigns in the Silicon Valley, did communications work in New York City. In 2010, he was a finalist for a Mirror Award - presented by Syracuse University's S.I. In 2009 Philip Bump worked for the South Bay Labor Council (SBLC), a Silicon Valley-based union group. Bump was SBLC’s political director and administrator of “San Jose Revealed,” a pro-union website. Bump is anti-gun and favors stronger ammunition regulation and controls
