Harris's career started at GFI Group where he was an SVP for nearly 5 years. Later he spent 3 years as a partner at Plimsoll capital, LLC. He went on to become the Senior Sales Manager at Lava Trading and then FX Director of the CME Group. He then spent the next 2 years as SVP for Fxmarketspace, a joint venture between CME and Reuters. From 2009 to 2012 he was the CEO of 360 Trading Networks. Afterwards, he acted as the Head of FX Initiatives & Strategy at NASDAQ. Shortly after he dived into blockchain technology, co-founding Blockstack.io. He spent the next year as Head of EBS Market at EBS BrokerTec and another year shortly afterwards as the CEO of Garden Leave. After a short 6 month stint as a Board Observer for Kooltra Harris co-founded ripe.io with business partner Raja Ramachandran.
