Early Life & Education
Peter Attia was raised in Toronto, Ontario. In high school, Peter Attia planned to be a professional boxer. He trained for six hours a day, tracking his progress on a daily basis.

During his fellowship years, his research focused on immunotherapies for melanoma.
Eating Habits (Nutrition Blog)
Early in his career, Dr. Attia started as a weekly email to a handful of friends, writing about nutrition; he later expanded to other topics, such as lipidology. His email list grew into a substantially longer list of friends, which eventually expanded his network to friends of friends and complete strangers. By late 2011, he decided to start putting his emails into long format and posting them as blog posts. He eventually started a website called Eating Academy, which now redirects to his personal website: Peter Attia MD.
Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI)
In January 2012, Attia co-founded the Nutrition Science Initiative, a nonprofit which facilitates and funds experimental research in nutrition science; their aims is to reduce the social and economic burdens of obesity, diabetes, and their related diseases.
