Early Life & Education
Pete Correale was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Fredonia State University in 1992. He played college basketball there, as well.
Stand-Up Comedy
In 1994/1995, Pete Correale started his career as a stand-up comedian.
Inspired by a drama class he took in college, he decided to move back to New York City to become an actor.
He ended up joining an improv group. After the group performed at a comedy club in the beginning of a show, Correale decided to watch the comics.
That night, he discovered that comedy was a newfound passion.
After he quit the improv group, he mopped floors and cooked burgers at several New York clubs in exchange for the chance to share his material on stage.
He would perform on slow evenings and after the headline acts had finished.
Correale rose to the national comedy scene when he worked with Saturday Night Live veteran Jim Breuer. Breuer had a Sirius radio show called "Breuer Unleashed," but the program unleashed Correa, as well.
He has three comedy specials:
The Things We Do for Love (2009)
Give it a Rest (2013)
Let Me Tell Ya (2015)
Over the years, he has appeared on late-night comedy sets on the Late Show With David Letterman, Tonight Show with Jay Leno , Last Call with Carson Daly, and Conan.
He has also worked with other major comedians, including Dave Chappelle, Jay Mohr, and Jeffrey Ross. [1]
