Pelle Braendgaard (born 1970) is an engineering lead at uPort with more than 20 years experience working with internet technologies in Europe, the US and Latin America.
Early Years & Education
Pelle was born in 1970 in North Carolina, but grew up in Denmark. He learnt programming as a 12 year old in youth night school in Denmark, where he studied Comal 80 and Pascal. His first "company" Mango Labs, was founded when he was 16 and in the US as a high school student for a year. It was a vehicle to fraudulently request free data sheets and manuals for micro processors from people like Texas Instruments and Motorola.
Pelle started his career at 1, when his friend and he started I.S.L.E. Systems I/S, which stood for Integrated Sound and Light Environment. They grew to 6 partners on the basic idea of developing a parallel multimedia computer based on the Transputer chip and Field-programmable gate arrays from Xilinx.
Pelle later worked as a Web Developer at Digital Equipment Corporation, Counsel Connect and Thomson Reuters. From 2000 to 2002 he worked as a Software Developer at Deutsche Bank. In 2003-2004 he had a position of the VP of Technology at VERAX Inc. In 2014 Pelle became a Senior Software Engineer at Trumaker, but quit the company in 2015. Later, he served as a Consultant at NASDAQ Private Market and Raise. Since 2016 Pelle has been the Chief technology officer at uPort.
Pelle is the Founder of several companies, including Mondome, Kipochi, Economico, Agree2, VeraxPay and CorpFlow.
Pelle speaks English, Danish and Spanish fluently.
