Paulie Giganti was a chef based in Philadelphia. He is best known for his participation in FOX's Hell's Kitchen. [4]
Life and Career

Paulie grew up in a working class family and worked in restaurants for most of his life.
After graduating from Xavier High School, he went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh to study engineering. [8]In college, Paulie was broke and got in some trouble, so he was hired as a line cook. Despite having no formal training, Paulie worked his way up in the industry to be the head chef at Birra's in South Philadelphia. He parted was from the restaurant in November of 2016. [1]

Paulie competed on season 16 of Hell's Kitchen. He was encouraged by his restaurant's owner, Gordon Dinerman, to go on the show who thought his personality would be a good fit for television.
Paulie's signature dish was a biscotti-encrusted scallops over a crispy polenta with a basil curry cream sauce.
Paulie was known to clash heads with Gordon and the other contestants.
He was eliminated on the 14th episode.
His favorite movie is A Bronx Tale. [1]
Death
On April 20th, neighbors started to report a foul smell coming from Giganti's apartment.
When Police arrived to check the residence, they discovered his dead body on the floor from an apparent drug overdose. The overdose was ruled to be an accident. [4]
