Paul Sheldon is the main protagonist of "Misery".
He is the author of the Misery Chastain novel series, and is imprisoned by Annie Wilkes (his self-described "number one fan") after a devastating car crash.
Barnes and Noble Viral Video
In 2011, there was a group that posted a video is called “Generic Theater” and describes itself as “Virginia’s Underground Theater.”
The group put on a stage adaptation of Misery back in 2011 - which is also when this video was made.
The video was a viral marketing tool that promoted a live theater adaption of the book in Virginia, and the video went viral four years after the play stopped running. [1]
