In late 2017, and in early 2018, Jacobson started an initiative to stop the residents of Cape Town helping the homeless.
The initiative is a group of upper middle class and business owners in the city of Cape Town who have shown to be anti-poor and racist toward the homeless. The group establishes agreements with restaurants and other shops around Cape Town and the Sea Point to convince them to display posters telling the residents not to feed or help the homeless, with the expression, "Support Shelters, Not Begging".
The group believes that handouts hurt the homeless especially when members of the community become involved.
