Patricia Teheran
Patricia Teheran [1] (Born June 10, 1969 in Cartagena, Bolívar, Colombia - Died on January 19, 1995 in Loma de Arena, Santa Catalina, Bolívar, Colombia) was a Colombian singer and songwriter considered the most important female voice in history of the Vallenato.
Biography
In 1988 she was discovered by Graciela Ceballos, who invited her to be part of a new musical project made up exclusively of women and which was renamed Las Musas del Vallenato, with which she recorded three LPs.
The last work, called Explosivas y Sexys, marked the end of her stay with Las musas and the start of a new project called Las Diosas del Vallenato.
Patricia Teheran composed her first song titled Dueño de mi Pasión for the album Con aroma de mujer[2].
Her mother died a couple of years after her death that occurred in 1995 and her father passed away in 2015, the singer had a son Yuri Alexander Teherán Romero, today a DJ and known in the art world as Alex Teherán Romero.
Her father was imprisoned for a long time.
The artist was moving in her car from Barranquilla to Cartagena after signing the participation of Las Diosas del Vallenato in the Barranquilla Carnival, when at 4:30 in the afternoon, at the site known as Loma de Arena one of the tires exploded and the high-speed vehicle lost control and overturned.
After her death, the women's vallenato practically disappeared from the radio stations, and no other women's groups emerged that had an impact on the environment.
Rodrigo Castillo, father of Yuri Alexander, Patricia's only son, passed away just one year after the singer's death.
He was assassinated in November 1996 in Medellín.
According to Salud Hernández, in his blog for El Tiempo, he relates that Castillo “cried drug trafficker from San Bernardo del Viento (Córdoba)”, far from being remembered as a gangster, he is remembered as a charismatic man willing to always help the neediest.
He was loved so much for his humility and simplicity that they even baptized a neighborhood near the Sinú River with his name, since it was built with land that he himself gave to people.
Patricia Teheran was not indifferent to Castillo's kindness, in most of her concerts she named him in the intro of her songs with the phrase "Rodrigo Castillo, a true friend, really", she is even in her great success "I knew him late".
However, the deceased gangster, although he is the father of the son of the interpreter of ‘Everything would give for you’, was only a shadow in his life, as the Cartagena woman decided to build a beautiful relationship with Víctor Sierra.
Castillo's constant stalking of Patricia was gradually deteriorating the relationship between Patricia and Víctor, to the point that he blamed her for the situation.
One of the biggest fights they had, according to Pertuz on the night of January 18, 1995.
They were both determined to end it all.
However, Pertuz served as a mediator between the two, and by taking a few drinks with Victor, he managed to make him see reason and continue his relationship with Patricia.
However, the next day, on January 19 of that same year, the car in which Patricia, Víctor, Guillermo and Tayron Del Cristo were traveling crashed causing the death of the singer and his partner.
On the other hand, a year later, the kindness and waste of Rodrigo Castillo caught the attention of the authorities, who began to wonder where his fortune came from.
At 36 years old he was assassinated in Medellín and buried in the same place by decision of his wife.
In 2017, the channel Caracol chose the artist María Elisa Camargo to give life to the deceased singer from Vallenato in the soap opera Tarde Met him.
CMO producciones will be in charge of producing this novel.
Mimi Anaya sister of accordion player Alvin Anaya (Los Gigantes del vallenato) is the accordion player that accompanies María Elisa in the story.
