Pastor Elijah OluwaKayode Bamidele Daramola (born 10/25/1951) is a pastor and counselor from Akure, Ondo State.

Elijah was born into the family of Pa, Gabriel Daramola and Late Madam Grace , Adefola Daramola of Ago family from Oke-Iro Ilesha and of Ipotomi Dynasty, in Akure Ondo State.

Pastor Elijah Daramola’s life is the epitome of a biblical adage that says "for as his name is, so is he.”

Olukayode means "God brings happiness" and Pastor Elijah Daramola was a happy man while on earth whom God used to bring happiness to a lot of individuals and homes.

Bamidele which means "follow me home" could be that he had passed on to glory to be with the Lord, after three messengers were sent from God to him to announce his passing on to glory and at the back of the shirts they wore was written, “ Forever Liveth.”

He told his wife, darling, did you see this three men that just went out through a path he showed her with the inscription written, "Forever Liveth" at the back of their shirts, she said no, that only two of them are in the room.

In less than 24 hours after the visitation by the angelic messengers, he passed on to glory on Sunday, September 22, 2019.

Daramola means "one who has achieved personal goodness along with wealth."

Pastor Elijah fulfilled his name here on earth.

Pastor Elijah Daramola has his Primary school in Akure, the capital of Ondo State In Oduduwa College Ileife, he did his college from 1965-1970 which could have been shorter if not for the inadequate fund that forced him to complete it in 1970 instead of 1969.

In 1973, he got his High School Certificate which enabled him with the qualification to be employed with the Western State Ministry of Finance at the Ibadan and Ilesha office of Treasury Cash Office.

At Yaba College of Technology, he got both his Ordinary National Diploma and High National Diploma which he used to do his mandatory National Youth Service Corp that is for all Nigerian graduates of a certain age bracket for one year.

It was sent to Kayama in Rivers State for the program.

His love to know God more led him to acquire a Bible College certificate with the Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC) as well as the School of Disciples certificate.

His quest for higher learning and knowledge also led him to acquire a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar, Cross River State Nigeria in August 2001.

He was once a Science teacher and the pioneering manager of Chemical Discoveries in the Metal and Mineral sector in Ilesha.

He got born again which is an event of receiving a new spirit just as a man had been before the fall of man in Genesis 3. This happened during in 1975 while he was in Yaba Tech.

He was the first to experience this in his kindred.

Prior to 1980 when he was led by God to join The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Elijah Daramola was formerly with the Deeper Life Bible Ministry that was founded by Pastor William Foloronsho Kumuyi and the Foursquare Church at different times.

He was mentored by the renowned man of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye that is known for his love for holiness and humility.

In 1984, he became the pioneering Parish Pastor of the Root of Jesse of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the General Overseers house in Ilesha, Osun State Nigeria.

He was ordained an Assistant Pastor in 1984 and yielding to God’s call to join the Church as a full time pastor in 1989.

By 1991, he was ordained a Full Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Before his ordination as Full Pastor in 1991, he was sent to start a new parish called the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Executive Seat of God, Omole Estate in Ileife in 1989.

In 1992, he was promoted to the position of the State Pastor of Ogun State, which has about 23 provinces within the State as the church ranking holds.

From Ogun State, he was sent to Oyo as the State Coordinator of both Oyo and Osun State from 1995-1999.

From the position, his perseverance and commitment got him transfer for more works to Lagos State 1 that has its headquarters in Somolu, but the place is now the headquarters of Region 2.

He coordinated Lagos States 1,2 and 3 while in Somolu.

By 2002, he was found worthy to be in charge of the National Headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ebute-Metta as the State Pastor and the State Coordinator of all headquartered states then in Lagos that comprises of City of David( Apapa Family), Blessed Family(Resurrection) and the Family of the Firstborn ( Ikeja).

To honor his loyalty and devotion to the assignments assigned to him, in August 2002, he was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Assistant General Overseer on Interdepartmental Matters.

From Sept 1, 2006 to August 2010 he was in Abuja then North 5, as both Pastor in Charge of Province and the Region 10 Regional Pastor.

While in Abuja, he was made the Special Adviser to Daddy G.O as Pastor Enoch Adeboye is called.

In Sept 1, 2010 he was sent to South Africa Region 2, as the Coordinator of 7 countries which are South Africa, Lesotho, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland and Mauritius.

By God’s mercy, while in South Africa Region 2, he was promoted to the office of the Assistant General Overseer on Doctrines.

After 8 years of service, he came back to Nigeria.

He was sent to Enugu to Coordinator the South East/ South South sector after the Church in Nigeria was divided into three which are North, South West and South East/South South.

He has been used by God to send pioneering missionaries to countries were the Church had not entered before then like Bangledesh, Mozambique and Serbia.

Doing his official visits to missionary churches, he uses lower class of flights to have more funds to support the missionaries as a lover of souls but as a sacrifice he had to pay for them to be comfortable.

He is happily married to Pastor (Mrs) Margaret Daramola on 12 November, 1983 at RCCG Isona, Ilesha for 35 years before he passed on to glory and they are blessed with 3 children.

He is a starter and had been used to pioneer branches of the Church that are still standing.
