Pascal Boyart is a French street artist who is known for using QR codes on his artwork to receive cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin since 2017. ^{[2] [3] [4] [5] [6]}

Boyart grew up in Paris, near La Chapelle, the birthplace of European graffiti. ^[4]

He has put QR codes on paintings since 2017 and has also tokenized his work as Non-Fungible Token (NFTs). Boyart has received more than 1.3 BTC (nearly $12,000 as of today) in donations over the last three years. He has wrote a tutorial to help other artists do the same.

He also has crypto donation links on his website for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Monero. Boyart has tokenized his own artwork as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), selling several pieces, some with added animation, split into collectible fragments via Opensea. ^[14]

In July 2020, Pascal painted a mural in Paris called “Confessions of a Red Jester,” a modern interpretation of the 1862 painting “Stańczyk” by Jan Matejko. In his rendition, the titular jester is surrounded by fiat bills on the ground and has what appears to be a tablet on the table next to him. He has described the painting as being about both fiat money and quantitative easing. ^{[4] [12] [13]}

Aside from his mural paintings, Boyart also creates unique art out of ripped up dollar bills. He usually depicts prominent personas in the cryptocurrency space. ^[15]

He cites Bruegel, Goya, Jackson Pollock, Georges Seurat, and Freud as influences. ^[4]
