Black Olives Matter Incident

In July of 2016, Paisano's attempted to lure customers into their establishment by posting on their sign "Black Olives Matter, Try Our Tapenade."

The sign caused an outrage across social media, and many people found in demeaning to the Black Lives Matter Movement.

The restaurant saw a boom in business after the sign was posted, especially with people including black olives with their dishes.

The owner, Rick Camuglia, has taken down the sign due to increasing protest to it.

He does not regret putting it up and feels no need to apologize for the statement.
