Osvaldo Silva Kewitz (Actor)

Osvaldo Silva Kewitz (born 11 July 1952 in Santiago, Chile) is an actor, producer and theatre director, known for his role in the Chilean soap opera Bellas y audaces on TVN (1988), playing Estaba Greve, a respected lawyer, widower and stable financially.[1]

Life and career

He was born in Santiago (Chile) on July 11, 1949. He made his debut on Chilean television in 1968, at the age of 19, in the series El Socio on Canal 13. At the same time, he participated as an actor in photonovels. In the 1980s, he played in several soap operas, including Bellas y audaces (1988), Las dos caras del amor (1988) and A la sombra del ángel (1989) on TVN de Chile.[2]

In 1987 he and his wife, actress Cecilia Cucurella, joined forces to found the Silva & Cucurella theatre company.

In spite of his good moment in television after having participated in Bellas y audaces, in 1991 he decides to retire and travels through a large part of Chile to later reside for eight years in the United States, specifically in the cities of Miami and Orlando, acting and directing plays. In 1998, she returned to her country and resumed her career in theater and television, taking part in such works as TV series as Fuera de control (1999), Sabor a ti (2000), Amor en tiempo récord (2006), Mala conducta, Mujeres de lujo (2010) and Esperanza (2011).

In 2014 he is called by the dramatic area of TVN, to play Sergio Montalbán, main villain of the TV series El amor lo manejo yo, Chilean adaptation of the Argentinean TV series Dulce amor (2012 - 2013).

By 2016, she joins the dramatic area of Mega channel to be part of the TV series Te doy la vida, where she played the unfaithful husband of Valeria Bianchi represented by Cecilia Cucurella.

In 2017, he was part of the cast of Hidden Truths, playing Rodolfo Mackenna in the first stage of the story.
