Oscar Lemar Owensby was a resident of Aurora who was stabbed by his stepson, Nickolas Khalil Vinson, who then video recorded the after math and uploaded it on Snapchat. ^[0]

Owensby was a resident of Aurora where he lived with his wife, Celena Vinson, and their step-son, Nickolas Khalil Vinson. He had another step-son, Kyle Vinson. ^[1]

He worked at a local family sports bar.On

Thursday evening of December 14th, 2017, Nickolas and Owensby started an argument with one another about doing chores around the house. ^[8]

Owensby requested his son to be a more cooperative member of the household by contributing to chores and home expenses.

Nickolas called Owensby to his room, located in the basement of the house, and plunged a knife to his step-father's back and began stabbing his shoulders and neck.

A few moments later, Nickolas took to Snapchat where he video recorded his dead father and said: "I just killed him". His mother then came down and tried to resuscitate Owensby, who was captured by Nickolas on Snapchat as well screaming and yelling over the body. ^[8]

Owensby then left the house and took off on vehicle.

He was later found and arrested by the police after the mother of a girl who had seen the video called in the report.
