Ori Spado (born December 17, 1944 Rome, New York) is an author and a consultant.[16] He was mentioned on episode three of the audiobook Everipedia Mob Chronicles hosted by Matthew E. O'Neil. It is available on Amazon.com.[17]

He attended Rome Free Academy before enlisting in the United States Army. Following an honorable discharge in 1966, Spado returned to Rome. He held various jobs and ultimately became a leading insurance salesmen for Prudential Insurance Company.

Spado jumped from Revere to Kelsey-Hayes manufacturing,and then finally to Prudential Insurance.

He became one of their top agents quickly.

From there, he used his experience to start his own insurance agency, the Ori Agency.

Spado booked millions in premiums through his insurance business.

It was through the business ties he had make in Rome, New York that would lead him to his mob connections.[19]

Friends With Frank Sinatra

In Beverly Hills, Ori established a reputation as a "Hollywood fixer", intitially doing favors for A-list celebrities and other reputable public figures. He was personal friends with Frank Sinatra, Milton Berle, and Academy Award nominated producer Dino De Laurentiis.

Hollywood Mob Boss

In a 2019 interview, it was confirmed that he once intervened and helped super model Naomi Campbell when she was threatened by a stalker. Later in his Southern California residency, the media outlets and high profile members of the press began to refer to Spado as the "Hollywood Mob Boss".[1]

In 2008, Spado was arrested at his home in Beverly Hills and charged in Brooklyn on a Colombo crime family RICO indictment. He maintained a lifelong friendship with the legendary underboss John "Sonny" Franzese until Franzese's death in 2020 at the age of 103. In addition to his four decade relationship with Franzese, he became known to the bosses of several mafia families including Frank Costello, Meyer Lansky, Russell Bufalino and Carlos Marcello. Spado served 62 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Lompoc, California. Upon his release from prison he returned to Beverly Hills.[18]

In 2019, Spado authored the The Accidental Gangster, which is available with the company Amazon.com. It is also available for purchase on its website TheAccidentalGangster.com. As of June 2020 the book is listed as a best seller on Amazon.com. He is involved in a few film projects and other business ventures. His publicist is Jordan Carlton Schaul. Spado lists Nicholas Pileggi as a business connection. Pileggi wrote the screenplay for the movie Goodfellas.

Personal Life

After his first marriage and three children with his first wife, Spado divorced and remarried and moved to San Francisco with his second wife.

He then relocated to Beverly Hills, California where he still lives as of June 2020.

O'Neil graduated with a B.S. from Colorado Christian University in 2001 and tko'd Preston Hartzog when he was in the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program in 1999. Hartzog was 1997 US Armed Forces Champion in the superheavyweight division. O'Neil was on The Grueling Truth and AkHi TV in 2020. In April 2020, Spado urged young people to stay at home and avoid large crowds in response to the global coronavirus pandemic.[12]
