Big Rick Daniels

"Big" Rick Daniels, which is a stage name opposite of his legal name, "Bradley Minnis", was born on October 14th, 1980 in Washington, Indiana. He is currently the host of [7] "Big Rick In The Morning" on Goober 95.1 WGGC-FM in Bowling green, KY.

Career

"Big" Rick Daniels started his career in 1995, at 106.7 WBLZ/1590 WPCO (now 106.7 WYFX-FM/1590 WRCY-AM) in Mount Vernon, Indiana at the age of 15. His first job was to board operate Chicago Cubs & St. Louis Cardinals games at the station. In the summer of 1998, Rick landed a part time weekend airshift at heritage country station WRAY-FM in Princeton, Indiana. In the fall of 1999, he attended Vincennes University for Broadcasting, while working part time at WRAY-FM, and local stations in the Vincennes, Indiana area like WZDM, WAMW-FM and WVUB.

Over the years, "Big" Rick has went on to work at lengendary stations like [3] Hot 96 WSTO-FM, 99.5 WKDQ, 107.5 WABX, 104.1 WLBC-FM, Q102 (101.9 WQXQ) Star 106.9 WXXC-FM, NASH FM 102.5 WMDH-FM, 97.9 KQFC, KISSIN' 92.3 KIZN and currently at Goober 95.1 WGGC.

"Big" Rick Daniels also covers annual events and red carpets, such as the Indianapolis 500, The Kentucky Derby, CMA Music Festival and various country music festivals.

[6] In addition, he hosts "The Big Rick Podcast", hosted on Anchor.fm, and is distributed worldwide on Apple, Google, iHeartRadio and Spotify Podcasts. His podcast has featured musicians, athletes, politicians and pop culture stars, including: U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Noah Galloway, Sanjay Gupta, Brett Eldredge, Russell Dickerson, Trace Adkins, Billy Ray Cyrus, Grace Park (actress), Laura Gómez, and more.

On Febuary 3rd, 2020, Big Rick In The Morning was nominated for Small Market Personality of the Year for the 55th Annual Academy of Country Music awards. [8]

Personal

"Big" Rick is a father of five children: Gabryella (Gabby), Gracie, Sophie, Makyala ( Kay Kay), and Carter.

He currently resides in Bowling Green, KY.
