Omid holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley.
He is deeply involved in social justice and environmental causes.
Omid is originally from San Jose but grew up in Calabassas, California.
He attended UCLA as an undergraduate.
Omid studied Persian literature for one year in Iran during his graduate studies.
He has translated modern Persian poetry, never translated before, into English.
