Omar Hatamleh is a Chief Innovation Office, Engineering at NASA. He is also the Executive Director of Space Studies Program at International Space University. He is based in Houston.^[1]

From 1997 to 2004, Hatamleh worked as a Senior/Lead Engineer at Johnson Space Center.

In 2004, he became a NSE-Subsystem Manager at NASA. Since 2015, Omar has been a Chief Innovation Officer at NASA's engineering department. Since 2016, he has served as the Executive Director of Space Studies Program at International Space University.^[1]

Omar received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan. Later, he obtained Master of Science in Mechanical engineering from California State University, Sacramento and Master of Engineering in Materials Engineering from North Carolina State University. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from University of South Carolina.^[1]
