Ohana Bam
Ohana Bam was born on the 24th of March, 1995 (age 25 years) in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is a Hip Hop rapper who previously went under the stage name BK Bambino before changing due to legal reasons.[1] He has become popular for his albums Tree Up and Pigeons & Plane.
Early Life
Ohana Bam born and raised in Chicago, Illinois was always a straight A-student, he studied for a year at the University of Missouri before dropping out, returning home and getting a job. Music was the only constant. A six-month stint working at a car dealership allowed him to save enough money to move to Los Angeles on his 20th birthday.
Ohana's astrological sign is Aries.[10]
Career
Ohana Bams first few months in the Golden State, was disheartening, he was lonely and depressed. But everything changed on the 24th of March, 2015 when he got a call from Rolling Stone, who wanted to feature him in the next edition of “10 New Artists You Need to Know.” The piece compared Bam’s “playful bars” to Chance the Rapper and Danny Brown (rapper)
He became obvious as soon as he dropped his first singles.
Before turning 20, Rolling Stone hailed the Chicago native as an “artist you need to know.”
Complex described his debut video, “Sheriff,” as “the rare video that can spark an artist’s entire career.”
According to Ohana his music career was as an influence of Los Angeles, California, Even though there's a great music scene in Chicago, there was not much of a music business. LA taught him way more about the business side of things.[9]
“I definitely see myself being from Chicago, but my sound isn’t Chicago.
It isn’t confined by that box,” Bam says.
“It’s a blend of different things - something else entirely.
I’m just trying to be really creative and make people have fun again.”
One of the invaluable skills Ohana and his team have learned is the art of opportunism, which helped the young Chicagoan land a placement on the star-studded Madden 2017 soundtrack for his current single "Blow Your Mind."[11]
“I want to be able to talk to the people and leave a positive impact.
We don’t have to abide by anyone’s rules but our own,” Bam says.
“I want to open people’s minds to life and push the envelope.
This isn’t just music; it’s art to me.”[8]
