The group was formed in February 2015 after the authors grew tired of being censored by The Guardian newspaper.
They decided to create our own platform for airing unacceptable opinions and the comment and the facts the Guardian tries to ignore [0]
OffGuardian believe in the concept of truth itself, not merely in that of competing narratives, and in the sanctity of facts themselves.
They believe in a true free press that speaks truth to power, respecting the former editor of the Guardian, C. P. Scott's quote*“Comment is free but facts are sacred”.
