Nomsa Buthelezi (born 07/04/1982) is a South African actress. She is popularly known for her role in Muvhango, an SABC2 Soap Opera as Awelani.

Nomsa Buthelezi was born and was raised in Alexandra.

She is 37 years old.

She was born into the family of Vezi and Magdalene.

Nomsa Buthelezi lost her boyfriend, “Unathi Ndondzwana” to stroke after he complained of muscle pains on his left side. Since his death, Nomsa thought it would be difficult for her to find love once more. Eventually, she did find love again with her girlfriend, Zandile Shezi.

Nomsa became famous for portraying a female Metro police officer who fell in love with a taxi driver in a Vodacom “Summer Loving” commercial. As fortune will have it, she landed the role of Dudu in the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo in 2013. In 2014, Nomsa played a starring role in the Vuzu sitcom Check Coast where she plays the role of Ma Mnisi on Isibaya, an Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya which premiered debuting in 2013.

After four years, she became a presenter on “Our Perfect Wedding” after replacing Thembisa Mdoda in Season 7. Nomsa also played a starring role in Lockdown as a delusional inmate Slender in the Mzansi Magic prison drama (2017-2019). Later in 2019, she was given a role in the SABC soapie Generations “The Legacy” where she portrays Mrekza’s sister Boipelo and appeared first onscreen on 8 August 2019.

The face of Nomsa Buthelezi, no doubt, is no longer new on big screens, especially to entertain movie lovers.

The reason behind her stardom is that she has featured in different television shows and drama series since she picked up a career in performing.
