On April 19, 2018, Sgt. Noel Ramirez and Deputy Taylor Lindsey were eating inside the Ace China Restaurant off State Road 26 in Trenton, Florida when a man walked up to the window and fatally shot them at about 3:00 p.m. local time. ^[1]

Both deputies were pronounced dead at the scene.

As fellow deputies responded to the scene, they found the shooter deceased outside the business.
