Biography
Early Life & Education
Noah Kotch was raised in in North Carolina. His mother, Anne M. Kotch, is a librarian at New Hope Elementary School. His father, Jonathan Kotch, is a pediatrician, professor, and the Associate Chairman of the graduate program of Maternal and Child Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At age 18, he was profiled as a newspaper editor at Chapel Hill High School. He gained notoriety for disagreeing with his principal about adding a column about Beverly Hills, 90210
After high school, Kotch attended Yale University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Classic Languages; he studied Latin and Ancient Greek. [1] He was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Daily News
Career
In September 1999, he moved to New York City and began working for ABC News. [1] He served multiple positions, most notably the Head Writer for ABC News'*Good Morning America *. [undefined] Focusing on live interviews and the show’s writing, Kotch served various senior digital and broadcast roles before writing for Peter Jennings. [undefined] In addition, he helped relaunch their Nightline program and became senior producer in the ABC News Digital Media Group. He was part of the organization for 9 years. [1]
In August 2008, he took a senior position with NBC's Today. He was a senior producer for the show, overseeing the crucial 7:00 AM hour.
