**Nishit Piyush Majmudar **is the Chief Executive Officer at Aviva Singapore.

He has over 30 years of experience in finance and executive management and has worked in Singapore, India, United Kingdom, Philippines and Thailand.

Nishit grew up in a small suburb in Mumbai.^[4] He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and is an accredited member of the Institute of Investment Management and Research (UK).

He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in London and India.^[2]

Nishit started his career in Life Insurance Corporation of India before moving to Bristol for 5 years to work for Merchant Investors.

He moved to Singapore in 1995 to work at Watson Wyatt, then moved to work at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) before spending 10 years with Prudential.^[4]

Nishit is currently appointed as an Executive Director of Aviva Ltd as well as Chairman of Navigator Investment Services Ltd, Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd and Aviva Financial Advisers Pte Ltd.^[2]

He has also been a Director of Aviva Life Insurance Company India Ltd.

since September 1, 2016.

He served as a Director of AIA Insurance Lanka PLC (also known as Aviva NDB Insurance PLC) from July 8, 2010 to April 1, 2012.^[3]

At the Insurance Asia Awards 2018 oganised by Charlton Media Group, Nishit was named the “CEO of The Year” for his strong business acumen and leadership skills, and commitment to driving stronger growth for Aviva Singapore by a panel of judges that included industry experts from Deloitte, Milliman, Ernst & Young and KPMG Singapore.^[5]

In 2018, he also received a leadership award in the Fair and Progressive Employment Practices category at the Tripartite Alliance (TA) Awards, previously known as the Exemplary Employer Awards, for his contributions in the area of fair and progressive employment practices.

The TA Awards, which are held every two years, are conferred by the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

It is judged by a panel of industry experts as well as representatives from the government, unions and employer associations, and Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP).
