Nimi Akinkugbe is an author, Finance management Expert and also the Chief Executive Officer of one of the largest games company distributor in Africa Bestman games Ltd.

Opunimi Akinkugbe was given birth to in Port Harcourt. She is a descent of Akuku-Toru in Rivers State. She spent the early part of her life in the busy Lagos State before having to relocate to eastern Africa at just the age of seven due to her Father’s assignment as the chief of mission in UNESCO. ^[13]

After leaving, Lagos, Nigeria, her family relocated Dar es Salaam in Tanzania where she had her major primary and secondary education in International School of Tanganyika, and Limuru Girls ^[15] School, Limuru, Kenya respectively. She later returned to Nigeria where she attended International School Ibadan for her O’Levels. As she continued further in academic progression, she attended London School of Economics where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. After successfully attending Lagos State Business school she graduated with a Master of Business Administration.^[14]

Talking about relationships, she is happily married to her partner Yinka Akinkugbe and the duo have three children.

On the path of career, she has worked with big name companies and served at top positions. Nimi was employed as General manager and simultaneously headed the Private banking sector.She later served in the position of Director of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Management but later left as the door to Barclays bank became open she gladly walked in taking up the job as the West African Regional Director for Wealth and Investment Management Division at the same time serving also as Chief Country Officer for Nigeria. ^[17]

After 23 years Nimi Akinkugbe would finally kiss the banking sector goodbye as she sought for other challenges, at this point she founded Bestman Games Ltd which is basically a game company in 2012.

Bestman games limited is a force to reckon with among the gaming companies in Africa, situated in Lagos the company oversees the distribution of Hasbro games to about 48 other countries in the African continent.

The first game content created was the board game monopoly from Hasbro, this time around a customized edition The city of Lagos Edition which was officially released in December 2012. The company has taken big strides going forward launching also the Accra, Cross River State and Corona High School s editions with many more productions yet to come.

Nimi also aims to help the populace through her gaming company to learn money management and understand better morals of living.
