Nilo Tabrizy
Nilofar Sayedzadeh-Tabrizy (Farsi: نیلوفر سيدزاده تبریزی) is an Iranian-Canadian video journalist at The New York Times, where she covers breaking news as well as Iran, ISIL, and national security. Tabrizy is also a Fellow at the Center on National Security at Fordham Law, where she researches ISIS-related prosecutions in the United States.
Career

Following a summer internship at Al Jazeera English, in 2012 Tabrizy joined the staff of mobile video startup NowThis News, and in the span of 18 months rose from production assistant to associate producer to on-air video journalist. In 2014 Tabrizy was hired by Vice News, where she worked as a producer and reporter across print and video. Tabrizy went on to join The New York Times in 2016, where she began on its live interactive journalism team and later moved to its video news desk.
Early Life and Education
Tabrizy was born in Tehran, Iran and grew up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Vancouver, British Columbia. Tabrizy graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2011 with a BA in Political Sciences and from the Columbia School of Journalism in 2012 with an MS in Broadcast Journalism.
