Nik Sharma

Nik Sharma (born Nikhil Sharma on June 28, 1996) is an American-Indian entrepreneur, marketer and digital strategist.

First known for running celebrity digital strategy and media for Pitbull, Priyanka Chopra, Magic!, Frankie J., and others, Sharma is now known for his innovative user acquisition and marketing tactics that have grown brands and publisher revenues by 10-fold.

Sharma is currently the Head of DTC at VaynerMedia, a social-first digital shop that focuses on storytelling across platforms. [6]

Career

Sharma began his first venture, Clique Management, while still in high-school where he led digital media efforts for Priyanka Chopra, Pitbull, Frankie J., Magic!, Danny Mercer, Sahyba, Biba Singh, Anjali Ranadive, and others. After successfully making a mark in the music industry, Sharma joined an ad-tech startup in San Francisco, CA. [1]

In San Francisco, Sharma was responsible for the distribution of applications and software to publishers such as Complex, A Plus, Drugs.com, Speed Society, Little Things, Diply, and other high-end websites. When pressured to generate revenue, Sharma created a 'Facebook Audience Acquisition Publisher Program' where he leveraged creative media-buying to deliver Facebook traffic at a low cost. [2]

After leaving, Sharma launched AdShepard — a content creation, media buying, and digital strategy agency focused on companies doing $50M-$150M in annual revenue.

In parallel, he launched ViralPanda with Yogin Patel—an influencer marketing agency specializing in work with mobile apps and tier 1 influencers.

In March of 2017, Nik joined Hint, Inc. after working in a client/brand relationship for 7 months, and later quit the company in 2018.

From 2019 and until now, Nik has been a Head of DTC at VaynerMedia. [6]
