Nichole Clardy Mittendorff is a 31 year old firefighter from Woodbridge, Virginia. Mittendorff works as a Fairfax County paramedic-firefighter. She is married to Steve Mittendorff.
Disappearance
Authorities say Nicole Mittendorff phoned her firehouse to say she wouldn’t be able to make it to work on April 13.
She has been reported missing since.
On the night of April 16, authorities found Mittendorff’s white 2009 Mini Cooper close to White Oak Canyon Trail at Shenandoah National Park.
Death
On April 21, 2016 her body was found at Shenandoah National Park, close to where her car had been.
Both the National Park Service and the Virginia State Police confirmed the discovery of remains.
Her body was discovered in a remote area.
