Nicole Carmon is a resident of Westminster, Colorado. ^[0]She is the mother of a 2 year old son. ^[0]

On December 17, 2016, Carmon was arrested on allegations of felony child abuse. ^[0]She left her two-year-old alone in a snow-covered car overnight in a parking lot. ^[0] Nicole told Westminster police that she was involved in a Friday night car accident and left the toddler inside the vehicle. ^[0]She said she was unable to remember accident details, the way she returned home, or where the car was. ^[0]

Authorities started looking for her son at 10:40a.m.,

and he was located inside the in a East 120th Avenue parking lot around noon. ^[0]

The two-year-old was suffering from frostbite and hypothermia. ^[0]

The vehicle showed no sign of having been involved in an accident.

^[0]Police are trying to determine the circumstances that led to the child being left alone inside the vehicle and how long the boy was there.
