Nicolas De Lavalette was a student at the University of Miami. He is originally from France. ^[1]

De Lavalette was a senior at the University of Miami and majored in economics and minored in entrepreneurship. An active part of his campus community, Nicolas was a brother in Zeta Beta Tau at his school as well as involved in CHABAD and the Undergraduate Sport Professionals’ Organization for Research and Training (USPORT). In addition, Nicolas was a supporter of Stay Safe, an artistic brand of free expression and taking a different path. Nicolas is remembered by his peers for his kindness, his open-minded personality, and for always being there for his friends.

On the evening of March 29th, Nicolas' body was discovered in his residence in the Red Road Commons housing complex.

The cause of his death is not known but police are investigating the case as a homicide.
