Nick Johnson

Nick Johnson was the first Pokémon Go player to catch every Pokémon in the United States of America.

Johnson lives and works in Brooklyn, New York and on July 22, 2016 caught the last of the 142 released Pokémon in North America.

Johnson allegedly walked over 95 miles to complete the task, averaging 8 miles per day and lost 10 pounds.

He caught over 4,600 Pokémon and hatched over 300 eggs.

[4]His trainer's name was HugLyfe.

[-1]Johnson claims to have once taken an Uber to New Jersey in search of a rare pokémon named Porygon.

[4] [7]

He was cited saying "I work 50 hour weeks, sometimes more, s o I do that during the week, and then after that, I would go out at about 6:00 PM and stay out basically until I had to go home and pass out.”

Nick Johnson is the Head of Platform for Applico, a mobile application company.

[4] [9]

In total, Nick Johnson walked 153.3km throughout New York, an average of 12km per day.

[8] During this time, he claimed to have lost weight and seen increases in his fitness levels.

Mariott Hotels Reward

A Marriott spokesperson confirmed that the company will sponsor Johnson's travel to Europe, Japan and Australia in search of the rest of the Pokémon, which are location-specific.

[3]The trip is estimated to be worth at least $50,000.

Additionally, the publicity from the achievement will likely provide significant business opportunities for Applico.
