Nicholas Walrath was an attorney in the U.S.

He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007 with a major in Physics and Philosophy. ^[1] Nicholas hailed originally from Pittsburgh, PA where he attended Taylor Allderdice High School.

Nicholas Walrath was a 2013 graduate of New York University School of Law and an Associate at the Intellectual property specialist law firm of Durie Tangri. Walrath clerked for U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar of the District Court for the Northern District of California and was previously an associate at Quinn Emmanuel Urqhart and Sullivan in San Francisco. In 2013 and 2014, he clerked for Judge Carlos Bea of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. ^[1]

Before studying law, Nicholas explored a career as a laboratory scientist, beginning a PhD program in Atomic Physics at the University of colorado at boulder. He later pursued intellectual property litigation to combine his interest in crafting arguments with his passion for science and technology.

Nick enjoyed climbing, skiing in Lake Tahoe, and attending concerts. He lived in Oakland.Tahoe, and taking advantage of the music scene in his newfound home of Oakland,” his bio adds.

Nicholas Walrath is believed to have died in the 2016 Oakland warehouse fire at GhostShip (Commune), which was operated by Derick Ion Almena.
