In 1996 he debuted as a soloist with his first record production entitled “When Words are Born”, a proposal that would come from the hand of singer Ricardo Montaner in the pop ballad genre and which included collaborations with artists such as Omar Hernández and Jorge Luis Chacín.

The following year (1997) would come with the second, which was called "En El Camino" debuting in the salsa genre, one of the most successful throughout his artistic career, this was produced in Puerto Rico in the hand of Ramón Sánchez.

"Y Es Que Me Faltas Tú", would be the second single from the same, also "Mi Reina de Corazones" and "Soñé", the latter was nominated for best Salsa video at the 2013 Pepsi Music Awards, as well as in the category " Artist of the Year ”in the same genre

Personal

A humble and outgoing little boy from the Pan American Institute of Maracaibo, baptized by everyone as "pigeon" because he is the smallest of his class, he enjoyed singing in every school play, without suspecting that in the future his voice would be a reference of a decade and an emblematic group like Guaco.

Everyone in his environment seemed to know that Nelson Arrieta would go far and they motivated him to do so.

At home the melodies of Rubén Blades, Los Blancos and La Fania were listened to incessantly thanks to his father, a full-time music lover, and his uncle, who every Saturday gave him cassettes with music that had not yet reached the country

Nelson says that, “As a child I was very mediatic.

Mom said that when I didn't even know how to speak I would watch the commercials, I would learn them and hum them with a good rhythm ".

Singing for him was something innate because the musical vein was in the family.

Faced with so much eagerness, he started classes for four and took out songs by ear.

Already in school acts he sang as if he were in his room.

He was the attraction.

At sixteen, a friend convinced him to take advantage of his gift and sing in musical groups, a decision that would make him realize that his chronic love of music was serious.
