Naveen Dhaliwal is an American Journalist who was born and brought up in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Currently, she works as a reporter for Eyewitness News on WABC-TV in New York City. Before joining ABC 7 she was working as the morning show anchor/reporter with News 12 Westchester, where she spen t countless hours on the desk during storm coverage.^[1]

Naveen was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada. She has wanted to be a journalist since she was a young girl. Her passion for reporting makes her gave up a career as a Speech Pathologist and led her to Rutgers University where she graduated with a Journalism degree.

She started her journalism career at WETM-TV in Elmira, New York, where she was an anchor, reporter, and producer. She covered many local stories that made national news, including the tragic shooting massacre at the American Civic Association in Binghamton, New York, in 2009.

She also spent three years at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City where she was a reporter/fill-in anchor and a storm chaser. Her passion for breaking news and weather was solidified during her years at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, when she worked for three weeks straight on the devastating Moore and El Reno tornadoes of May 2013 spending long hours digging deep into the community and telling stories of people at such a trying time. For her, it's always about the people. She also traveled to Dallas, TX to cover the Tornado outbreak in April of 2012.

Before finally joining WABC-TV, Naveen was the morning show anchor/reporter with News 12 Westchester, where she spent countless hours on the desk during storm coverage and the MTA deadliest train crash in Valhalla in 2015. One of her most memorable days on the job came during the Blizzard of 2010, delivering live reports in bitter cold conditions.

After working in various markets across the country, Naveen landed her dream job at Eyewitness News as a reporter in February 2018.
