Nathan Gould was a 16-year-old from Holyoke, Minnesota.

He was a student at Wrenshall Secondary where he was on the baseball team.

On November 18th at around 12:15 PM, Gould was driving his black Ford Taurus in harsh conditions when he lost control and collided with another vehicle, a Ford Escape driven by Julie Jacobsen with her two children inside.

The incident happened on a curve in Carlton County Road 1 near Leimer Road, between Carlton and Wrenshall.

While Jacobsen suffered minor injuries and the two children were left unharmed, Gould was sent to Essentia Health-St.

Mary's Medical Center in Duluth where he died from his injuries.
