Natasha Bassett is an Actor, Writer, and Director hailing from Sydney, Australia who now resides in Beverly Hills. She is known for having portrayed Britney Spears in a Biopic TV movie. [1]

Early Life

Born in Sydney, New South Wales Australia , where she was raised by her mother. She went on her first audition at 1414 and landed the lead role in Romeo and Juliet, and has never looked back since. She went on to study, write, and perform at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. This led to Natasha performing under the artistic direction of Cate Blanchett in Sydney Theatre Company's stage production of Bookends. At 19, she was awarded a Screenwriting scholarship from the ArtStart Screenwriters Program, where she wrote and directed her short film "Kite". The acclaimed short was featured in the Rhode Island International Film Festival, Balinale International Film Festival, and the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival.

Background

Growing in Australia, she spent three years honing her craft working on productions at both the Australian Theatre for Young People and the National Institute of Dramatic Art, participating in both the performing and collective writing of shows. She has a Diploma in Communications and is the recipient of the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Award. Natasha a ttended the Atlantic Acting School in New York City in 2012.

Recent credits include NBC'sCamp , starring Rachel Griffiths, where she played 'Chloe'. Natasha also appeared in PJ Hogan Mental , starring Toni Collette and Liev Schreiber, as well as the lead role in Samantha Rebillet'sThe Last Goodbye, shot in Paris. Her Australian television credits include MTV TV movieDungoona, in which she played the lead, ABC'sLaid and I Rock,ine's Cops LAC,Seven's Wild Boys,In Your Dreamsand ABC'sRake*.

She can next be seen alongside Olivia Cooke and Mary Steenburgen in the Indie film dramaKatie Says Goodbye, and as 50s-era starlet Gloria DeLamour in Joel and Ethan Coen'sHail Caesar! with George Clooney, Scarlett Johannson, and Channing Tatum.
