Nastee Nev (Age 37 years old) is a Dj, songwriter and a producer who was born and raised in the township of Ga-Rankuwa in Pretoria.

At the age of 10, Nastee Nev started started showing his interest in music listening to his father old records, the likes of Bob Marley, Gladys Knight, Nina Simone and many more.

In 1989 he was introduced two house music by his old time friend Mr. Wesi Lefyedi. Nastee Nev started his career as a Dj with cassettes in small parties and street bashes then he met Dj Positive K; one of the most respected Dj’s in SA and he introduced vinyl’s to Nev. In 1993 Nev started buying his own vinyl’s.

He got his break in 1995 were he started playing with Positive K at a pub called Archie Bold in Ga-Rankuwa warming up the stage playing slow jamz and hip hop.

He then landed a residency spot at the club gemini where he played along side Christos; Vinny da Vinci; Bob Mabena and Positive K. Since then Nastee Nev has been traveling around SA playing in clubs and pubs. In 2001 he registered his company Nastee Nev Entertainment.

In 2002 he did a tour with SAB being a resident Dj for the tour and opened his studio where he started producing his own music.

His first release entitled ‘Private Lessons’ was released, with all original material and two exclusive remixes done by top American producers Abicah Soul & Demarkus Lewis.

Nastee Nev is active on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, where he has over 50,000 followers. He has posted more than 500 posts and has over 55,000 followers on Instagram. Similarly, his fan gave lots of love in his social media (YouTube channel) account with 38,000 followers on it. He also has a Twitter account, though he is hardly active on the platform.

Nastee Nev has frequently made videos featuring Donald Sheffey and Mathado Mohoali.
