Naras Kimono (born Naras Kimono Strickland on August 23, 2004) is an American author and artist from Chicago, Illinois.^[1]

Naras Kimono started her career as a contributing author to Reviews by Cat Ellington: The Complete Anthology, Vol. 4 under the tutelage of her prolific mother, Cat Ellington. Commissioned through Quill Pen Ink Publishing to co-author the fourth installment in the notable series of Literary criticism, Naras, who is also a graphic illustrator, provided her own written analyses of fictional and nonfictional works by Joan Palmer, Carl Hiaasen, Lynn M. Stone, etc.^[2]

Named for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences,^[3] she was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where her family keeps a secondary residence, to creative parents Joseph Strickland and Cat Ellington, but soon relocated to their primary homestead of Chicago where she currently lives with her parents, her two brothers Nathaniel Joseph and Nairobi Kenya, and the family's pet Pomeranian, Aspen.^[4]

She likes to drink Masala chai and watch Nickelodeon.^[5]

She is fluent in French and Spanish.^[6]
