Nalini Netto is the Chief Electoral Officer of Kerala and a senior Indian Administrative Service.
She has been working for the Chief Electoral Office for the last seven years.

Her husband is Desmond Netto who is a Senior IPS officer.
Career

Netto was appointed as the State's News Chief Secretary in March 2017 as a replacement of S.M.
Vijayanand.
She also is in charge of Home and Vigilance.
She is a Secretary to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Report Tampering Allegation
DGP Senkumar alleged that Netto tampered with reports of Puttingal fire tragedy and the Jisha murder case.
She did not mention the name of State Police Chief T.P.
Senkumar in the first file but made an addition in the report after Government changed.
In the report, the comment wriiten by the former chief minister of Kerala, Oommen Chandy was ripped off.
Netto Apologized To The Supreme Court

Nalini Netto offered unconditional apology to the Supreme Court in the light of court case filed against her by State Police Chief Senkumar.
“I have the highest regard and respect for the orders of this Honourable Court and I have no intention to violate the same.
I tender my unqualified apology for any aspect on my conduct which this Honourable Court construes not to be in accordance with its order.
I have acted expeditiously and according to legal advice, after duly consulting with the Advocate-General."
