Nail Mavus was a citizen of Turkey and attended the May Day protests on May 1, 2016. Turkey ruled protests in celebration of International Workers' Day to be illegal and sent in police force with tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowds in Taksim Square. Officially sanctioned Union gatherings were legal.
Mavus was run over by one of the water cannon trucks.
He was taken to the hospital, but soon died.
Personal Life
Nail Mavus attended Ístanbul Üniversitesi and worked for Galatasaray.
He had two children.
