Death
On June 18, 2017, at about 3:00 p.m., Nabra was was found in a pond in the 21500 block of Ridgetop Circle in Sterling, Virginia. [undefined] She had been reported missing overnight by her family. [undefined]
During the search for Nabra, an officer spotted a motorist, later identified as Darwin Martinez Torres, driving suspiciously in the area and arrested Torres. [undefined]
Prior to her death, Nabra was with a group of four or five teens walking back from breakfast at an IHOP, when they were confronted by a motorist. [undefined]
All but one of the teens ran to a Mosque, where the group reported that the girl had been left behind. Nabra's mother also stated that she had been struck by a metal bat. [undefined]
